Loveeeeeely

The start was awesome, although I feel you could add a slight fade in on the leading pad/bell thing, as it seemed to start very suddenly.

Also, this is too slow for drum and bass, this is more ambient. Actually I take that back, I just got to the dnb bit ;-)

Prehaps you should think of some faster basslines though, more notes in the pattern if you get what I mean. Good job with the filters in this section.

As far as mastering goes, it was great, the drums were clear, and went well with the synth. I feel it could do with a stronger kick drum though...

Well done :D

The-XI responds:

Stronger kick drum? Aw man, the kick was nearly distorting the compression job I did... :(

Trust me, the EQ is there.

Thanks for the review!

:o

Experimentalism for the win ALL THE WAY. This has an awesome ambience feel to it, sort of horror film feel. Only gripe i'd have is it is a little quiet, but thats not really a problem thanks to the invention of volume controls client end ;-)

Keep it up

Nicstiracly responds:

Yeeh another review!
Thanks a lot man. By the way:
I really love 'Angels' at your audio.

:O

Ouch, this song got zero'd to hell and back. What you need in here is some really fast breakbeats. Push the tempo up to about 170bpm.

At the moment its a little more ambient than it is drum and bass. Those pads are sexy :D

I'll 5 this to help the zero situation ;-)

Red-Slash responds:

thx man i always have trouble putting my music into a genre cause my shits always all over the place

Once again, denvish wins the internet.

Damn. Damn it denvish.

Proffesional quality inside, honestly. Only gripe I'd have is the vocals are a little bit quiet over the guitars, but that wasnt too bad as the guitar playing itself was awesome, as it should be coming from you.

Wonder what the first flash will be to come out with this song will be called...

Holy. Shit.

I was expecting a lot, since you're *claiming* s to be somebody(s?) we all know, and everyone I know is awesome, but this goes far beyond what I expected...

First off... REAL VOCALS. REAL SINGING. Which ever one of you did it did an awesome job, the recording quality is perfect, mastered well, and the singing quality itself is definatly worthy of the rest of the track. There were a few stutters here and there, but the whole song was like one giant tounge twister so I can't blame you.

The mastering... was perfect. It was proffesional, thats all I can say, you can tell that it took a lot of time to get through this, which verifies why you took so long getting it out (seriously, when was it you said the track would be out in a week in the lounge? a month back?)

Those drums were great, very varied and had a lovely 'mixed' feel to them, I felt they were a bit thin when the second bassline came in, but thats probably just me, I like my tracks thick with cream on top.

As for the style, immense. This track has rekindled my love for Daft Punk and Beck, and almost seemed like what you would get if they had children together.

Anyway, I'm getting tired now of typing now, so that's a download and a 5 from me, and I definatly want to hear some more of this... like.. tommorow.

Also, review my stuff, even if you have already under your real account... have you? EH?

NeuFunk responds:

Ack, a long one :-P

To be honest, you dont seem to have given me much to respond to, other than a wholehearted thanks for the review.

Theres a bit of delay with new tracks. Lack of inspiration is to blame methinks...

:-P.

Poor rucklo :P

Well, you got my download, and after all that's all that's important, right?

Yeah, your overall downloads are a little suffering, but you have a very healthy ammount of reviews, which are worth their weight in gold.

I love your scratching, The style you used in this track makes it truely unique, and theres some awesome use of balance. I expected it to become a big, trancy/techno style track, but instead it stayed calm, with that awesome steady drum riff and that weird bassy pad behind it. I truely love this one. Great work.

Rucklo responds:

Holy crap, pity worked (finally) :D
Yea reviews are allways better than dl´s, kinda odd that ive suffered so much since ive kept active on the forum at least :/
Oh well, glad ya enjoyed the track though! Thanx alot for dropping a few lines mate!

And review I shall.

It gets faster.. and faster... That's awesome...

Although it did seem very noise and fluttered, I think that was one of the prominant features in the track, it was so damned interesting to listen too, the ways you manipulated that familiar melody. I do feel it could have benifited from a stronger bass line, at the moment it's a little drowned by that seashore sound, and towards the end, the piano starts to overpower the melody.

Definatly deserving of the 5 I just gave it.

HouseMasta responds:

wow, thanks a lot Khuskan! im very happy to know you enjoyed it!

yea, the bass couldve been stronger but i never realized it until now. oh well. thanks for the review!

Yay.

I'm voting straight 10's because i'm unimaginative, and I have MSN open to moan at you about various flaws in the track etc. Not that there are any.

Also, Review #40.

apimusic responds:

I award your review an 8.

Ooo.

If it was played on real guitars instead of cheap midi substitutes, it would be SOO much better. The drums were a bit too weak and tinny, and the bass wasnt... bassy enough. Good arranging, mind so keep playing until you get it.

If you cant get the guitar sounds, consider mixing this as trance or dance.

Hmm.

I know an inported midi when I hear one, especialy since none of your other tracks have nearly the same compositional or performance quality, which sort of kills the fact that there was any effort behind the piece at all. The point of remixing a track is you put the notes in yourself and make changes as you wish.

As for clarity, it was clipping out A LOT, especialy when the lead vocal instrument came in, and to be honest it wasnt really a remix. It was sort of a re-import with some shitty defualt instruments.

Either way, keep at it and try to make some stuff of your own, it still shows you're learning how to use your software...

BotonyProduktions responds:

Thanks bro. Well, Im not to good at this FL Studio thing yet. Im still messin around with it. Trying to figure some shit out. THanks for da review.

I maek musics.
