Yay

Never played the game, but this is a great mix. Only a few nit picks, Bass is WAY too quiet and the drums are a bit.. boring. I understand you want emphesis on the guitar, but theres such thing as 'over doing it' in the music trade. Also theres a millisecond gap after the first set of samples, easy to fix in soundforge/whatever but it notices

VGman2005 responds:

I see what you mean. This was my first shot at a remix of a video game theme, and I wanted to try to give the feel of an ending theme of sorts. But I'll take your advice and will make many improvements with my future remixes.

:o

Constant... vox.. channel panning... Wo@h... the walls are melting. Very 80's computery, brought back a nice nostalgic feel, the kind i used to get right before my BBC Microcomputers PCU exploded.

*sheds a tear*

There are parts the bass goes to such a low frequency the tone isnt audiable

and just so you know, its IMPOSSIBLE to do a piano trill on one note like that. Theres just not enough time for the key to come back.

Now review my audio :P

Oh dear god, got to the bit after piano... Oooooo i like this bit. Its so cheesy its good!

AdmiralConquistador responds:

I wasn't aiming for realism with this song, which is why I labeled it "Experimental" :) The same applies to the bass going to such a low frequency. Btw, I'm not sure what you are talking about, I never made the bass go that low, or at least my headphones were able to produce the tone perfectly. The only thing I made go that low was a saw synth, and that was on purpose. Thanks for the review, cheers

:o

You on a submitting spree tonight?

This one wasnt bad ,but not as good as bunny parade ;), you truely are the master of putting so much crap into a mix that it sounds good, which is somthing very few people can do.

Now review my audio or baby jesus will cry.

staticnoise responds:

I'm trying to upload everyday. Thanks for the review. Yeah, with my older stuff i tried to cram everything in one song.

Ok, i'll go check out your stuff!

Hmnn

Overflanging has clipped off the leds, apart from that its good. It really, REALLY improves when the drums kick in, thats the point where it changes from 'good' to 'awesome'

I'm not really one for fl, but occasionaly people manage to squeeze good music out of it.

Be sure to check out/review my audio... please.. i'm desporate here.

staticnoise responds:

Thanks again for the feedback.

Actually, i made all the loops in Cubase and then pieced them together in Acid.

ok ok, i'm going!

:o

You actually used a microphone. You freak.

Therefore, you rock. Nicely composed too, but the riff bass was a little bit repetative and the treble could of gone a bit higher up on the keyboard, sounded like an improvisation too, which makes it a little bit more special.

Now review my music, i'm doing you a favor :P

Dudidum responds:

wohoho thanks I know I'm a freak ;)!
the thing about the microphone --> read my profile :D
before I can go higher on my piano I have to tune it ;)
but keep in mind that I never wrote down any of my songs. The Improvisations and Adventure Musics are all almost suddenly created while playing ;)

..hm.

This isnt even music. You were blatently trying to rip off the fucking moron series.

For gods sake man, spend some effort on it. Ok, it was somwhta funny, but PLEASE get a decent microphone. The noise on that was TERRIBLE. Or mabey i just have a sensitive ear.

CRISPY-D responds:

"This isnt even music" - hence audio portal , not the music portal...

"You were blatently trying to rip off the fucking moron series" - what the heck is that???... i guess i'll have to look it up. yet you gave me a 9 for originality, so i guess a rip-off of something i never heard of is genius.

"For gods sake man, spend some effort on it. Ok, it was somwhta funny, but PLEASE get a decent microphone. The noise on that was TERRIBLE. Or mabey i just have a sensitive ear" - yes, no effort was put into this clip and yes it was (somwhta)funny and the mic i ues was a 10 dollar POS. if u'd like... i'll re-record this with my 350
dollar studio condenser mic. and yes the mic picked up some bad vibes.

yay.

Sounded a bit too fruity-looped for my liking. It was well thought out but it was just too slow and easy to tell when different samples started and ended. The background chords really annoyed me, they were too blocky and basic and didnt blend in with each other through modulation sequences, but then again, you're using fruity loops, so you probably have no idea what a 'modulation sequence' is.

Whirlguy responds:

If you say so... i had to edit it in soundforge so the quality went down, and it had to be mp3 to put it on ng. Its weird when i do that, but when exporting it as mp3, it pastes a little pauze on the end. So my fault? not really. there was a fading on the end, i put that on the beginning for making it. Theres more then only fruity loops. But i hope i dont use my fruityloops sounding samples anymore. Theres a guy whos gonna burn a cd with alot of samples which he bought for me(isnt he a nice guy). Hes really good, he knows newgrounds, but has no account. He calls himself heavix, so maybe... he will show up one day:) Thanx for the review

...yay.

My god... you actually used.. a microphone and instruments and your voice... Even though there was way too much background noise and the microphone quality was utter shite... You get extra credit just because you can almost sing and play instruments.

Except the pianist at the end, what the fuck was he on.

MembrsOfBushWhackers responds:

thank you

Mixorized.

The vocals were a tad cheesey, but it was damned catchy, and there really isnt anything i can truely pick up about it, prehaps a clearer melody, but thats not normaly a prominant feature in techno. The snare towards the end went on for a bit to long, sounded like a drill. Great use of drums in the last cadence, but needs a few modulations somwhere inside it.

crud responds:

yeah, vocals schmocals. they are definitly clichéd little samples, but I'll damned if they dont work really well with it. seriously though, your review was very informative and gave alot of good information. more people should give reviews like you. i'll return the favor if i can

Not bad at all

It was well sampled, and mixed, but i couldnt help but feel the fact that the different sections of the music were too different. Good job anyway.

Smoking-Chimney responds:

thankyou :)

I maek musics.
