Hmmn..

I'm not sure what was wrong with your scart lead, but I never had any problems with sound quality on nes/snes :P.

The drums seem to be really offbeat at the start, not in a good way too, and they're very overpowering, especially that kick.

Sounds more like boss music, as opposed to the underworld.

Weapongod30 responds:

Well, I'm sorry you feel that way(SIGH) well, I guess that any feedback helps on improvement...at least you weren't mean like some of the other users... anyways, thx for your review!

:o

The timing was all wrong. horribly wrong, there was no expression in it whatsoever, and it was too perfect. There was virtualy no use of harmonies, except the two at the end, and the second instrument was completely unrecogniseable, also there was nasty background noise. The notation was almost right, until the end.

Sonic5039 responds:

working on revised version thnx for telling me it was a little off at the end on the notes. going to fix that tommorow or something. and ill add more harmonies maybe another insturment an octave lower, and the back ground noise you hear could have been things falling my mic not picking it up correctly or hte mic was too sensitive and heard the click of the mouse before i hit the stop button. also it could just have been interference from something.

:D

A lovely start, kicked in quickly and layed down a nice base line and beat that kept the track rolling. The sound seemed a little over-compressed (in the stereo sense), and it would of sounded nicer with a wider stereo feel.

It was in all, a well composed techno track, from one of the AP's more competant artists.

ShinDenjin responds:

I am honored. Thank you kind sir^_^

Average

It would sound much better if the piano line was actually possible to play on the piano. Add some more instruments too.

Queen responds:

ya i no i jsut wanted to sumit it for a beginner song but thanks for the review my next classic will b much much better then this ill actually take sum time in to it ty

Not bad.

I did this AGES ago :P Still, sounded quite good. Piano was way too quiet, and the drumline was far too shallow though.

MarioMusicMaker3 responds:

i made the drums shalow so they would stand out on the chours. but i fully aggree that it needs improvment.

:\ Oo.

The sound quality was a bit low, and it was easy to tell when samples started and ended, due to noise. The reversed bit really didnt work very well for me. It was a nice mix though, and it was in time, so well done.

EsMatiCSounDs responds:

yeah i know it wasn't the best audio but this is my firt audio ever ever ever.

thanks for reviewing this audio!

Hmmn.

It reminded me of the jurassic park theme at the start. The.. clarinets(?) that came in after the piano ended were way too low, and there were an aweful lot of dischords in this. It was.. quite interestingly composed though, with lots of contrasting sections, but that drone note got annoying after a while. I like the pizzacato, it really seemed to fit in well.

NiDeCo responds:

First of all, thanks for the review ^^v Reviews are great!
Well... This is the first 'classical'-style song I made, and I think my last, because it took me WAY too long to finish it (like 6 months xD) and it's just not my style.
The drone? well... You don't like it, I do :P all I have to say.

And again, thnx for the review, I appreciate it ;)

Not bad

It was a little quiet, but still very good. One thing you should try to do is the horns that were playing the melody were just playing the same chords all together, and there was very little variation in the way they played. it made it sound sort of mechanised, but it sounded pretty awesome none the less. Put a timpani in there for good effect, and you need to cut the end silence off to make it loop. Remember flash artists have no idea how to edit sound.

afliXion responds:

Yea, it was quiet. But unfortunately, theres not much I can do about that. It was of FF already. Finale is just real bad for play back.
I guess your right about the horns, but I don't know what varaiations I could put in. I mean the original song had only 3-4 voices in it... and I didn't want put to many variations in voice leading or anything like that.
A timpani! Your right. I really should have put that. And I would have made it loop, but I don't know how to do that.
Thanks for the review. :D

:o

Video game is for remixes, so this isnt truely the right catagory, but i can hear why you went for it.

Don't pan timpanis like that, drums normaly should stay almost dead centre where pan is concerned, because they hold the rhythm. Try to avoid using synth chior too, tends to sound a bit cheesey.

Cleod-9 responds:

Ahh, I see.

Bah.

I wish they would change the 'classical' directory to 'orchesteral', because none of the music in there is classical, and theres no way it possibly could be.

Thats a pretty nifty track you've got there, reminds me of Barbers Adagio for Strings.

It was a bit slow at parts, especialy the pizzacato section, because pizzacato strings are normaly quite fast and furious. Nice suspensions at the start, and it really did have that quartet feel. Nice one.

Scarlatti responds:

Thank you, kindly Khuskan. Thing is, classical/orchestral is the only thing I do well. Unlike you and your lovely Immersion right next to Landscape Symphony. Suppose I'll just have to go out and buy some good DnB. Or maybe just play a lot of Super Nintendo.

I maek musics.
