I didn't recognise it from tetris, but that dosnt matter, because its got a great sound as it is. Turn the volume on your crash symbol down a bit. If you listen to it carefully, you can hear the other instruments go quieter when it sounds. Oh and dont play chords on a hellstorm guitar, Find Hvyguitar on NN-19 (or was it nnxt.. cant remember). Anyway, keep it up, fellow reason 3 user, there needs to be... HOLD ON A SEC. YOUR NIVI. Bah, i didnt realise. What a bizaare coincidence.

Jhalkompwdr responds:

Now THAT'S irony.
It's from the NEW tetris (N64)
Thank you, that was the kind of advice I was looking for.
But, uhh, there aren't any chords on the hellspawn... oh well, i know what you mean. I'll shove an ampeg fliptop in.

You've got a great voice, and your guitar playing was great, and the song was very well written. Only thing that truely could be touched up would be recording quality, there was a lot of background noise. Keep at it, you could get a career out of this.

Nigel-of-the-Drakes responds:

Thank you very much. I need to save some money to get some nice recording equipment, but as for now I have to use a regular computer mic.

Yay.

I played somthing like that when i was.. 5.

If you're trying to go for minimilist modern, you're in the right direction. Otherwise there was nothing to it at all, and it definatly wasnt classical. The pan was REALLY annoying, and i'd advise against using it ever when you only have one instrument.

Consider what a track needs to be a piece of music: A chord pattern, starting on the I'st, ending on the V'th, A backing, a distinct melody and a point where at least one of those parts changes to give a new section of music.

C-KICK responds:

well I am greatful that you replyed to my music, and as for how simple it is, that could be mostly due to the fact that i have never taken a music lesson in my life.

It sounds very hans-zimmerish, much like the Crimson tide theme, it has the same basic rhythm as it. Nice use of structure, it wasnt the slightest bit repeteitive. Those french horns were a little overpowering in the middle, and try to put another note on the timpani in the later section, instead having it just beating like the snare drum the whole time, most timpanis have at least 2 drums at different pitches, like at the start. Very good an orchesteral thoughk well written.

XGM-Zeth responds:

Good, Because hans zimmer is the one person i admire the most with it, and i know the crimson tide, as it was the first song i heard for him.

I'll admit that i like this one a bit, but its kinda equal with my newest (Promise is given)

I'm not so much of a technichian though, i just make what i think sound cool :)
Which happen to be orchestral.

This track is so amazingly AWESOME, i have no choice but to reccomend it to EVERYONE. EVERYWHERE. It is THE BEST mario cover i have yet to hear on NG. YES ITS AS GOOD AS PARAGON. It is THAT AWESOME.

First off, i dont remember any other remixes of this track, so i guess your a first.

Your bass was WAAAAAAAY too reverberated, and the drums too for that matter and they blead over. You got the melody right, but i'm not sure about the first chord. You shouldnt have done that fade out at the end as well, you only normally fade out if your finishing on a loop, but you had a proper ending cadance there and you ruined it by fading. I think you should of kept the melody pattern at the start all the way through with the other melody accompanying it, it would of made it a bit thicker. Anyway, fix up the reverb and you've got yourself a winner.

flussigezelle responds:

tq for comment & critics
i will do better next time :)

Sounds like the noise my computer makes when it goes wrong...

plutonicfluf responds:

lol yeah I'm just making these songs as jokes... hahaha THEY'RE AWESOME!!! lol

Yay.

It sounds horrendously fruitylooped to me. There isnt very strong definition between the instruments, but that can be a good thing.

The tr808 drum kit really dosnt fit it, its too weedy for the track, try somthing with a bit more power behind it. What i like about this track is its really thick, it has a lot of sounds behind it that make up the music.

aloneinthedark1 responds:

hmm. thanks alot for the review, but i wanted the drum to kinda blend in a bit to make it sorta like one sound all jumbled into music, i chose all the kits that are reccomened by loops help to blend togather

:| woo!

Apart from the fact its the definition of cliché, it sounded very dj birdy. I personaly think it would sound better if you reorded the melody to rematch the origional more. When you remix a popular song, you cant change the melody too much or it ruins the nostaligisitiy(sp?). I loved the broken synth though, and the scratching was pretty awesome.

All it needs now is some high piched voice going 'woo!' every two bars.

PERVOK responds:

if i didnt change the melody it would sound very... used over and over again.
it didnt take the feel away from the real song.
i only added some melodic notes to make it a little more insteresting.

lol at high pitched 'woo' lmao that would be funny

thanks for the review!

Hmmmnn

Suffice to say i've never heard a worms theme remix before.

It needs a drum beat. Badly. What you have there barely qualifys as a riff.

Oh and put that piano out of its misery, its WAY too high pitched. Guitars quite nice though. Might try a worms theme remix myself.

JP3000 responds:

Ok I think I got it: More drums, less piano. Hey, wait a sec... I like the piano!! :P

I maek musics.
